Edit: I stand corrected the other issues I thought I had fixed are back again.
Edit 2: I sent a bug report in game.
I wish there is a item monitor that I can go through from a list (with coordinate?), so that I can see what is duplicated.
My theory here is those getting a lot of messages are now just finding out how messed up the pathing really is in their base. Before they just had no clear idea of why some tasks took so long to get done.
These new messages are going to help them improve the pathing and help the players identify problems with base layout much quicker. All good in my book.
Is this the large generator? They improved that from what I read to make more electricity.
I'll stand by my theory (could be wrong) that they were always having trouble reaching it and now you just are aware of it.
I would expect them to add an option to disable this eventually. It is a great diagnostic tool for when you are building the base though, so we really need these messages.
The building system and the pathing system clash in so many ways it's actually frustrating. You can build doors...but most pals can't even fit through them. You can build stairs...but it's iffy if Pals will go up them. Why aren't there doors large enough to fit big pals that snap to the other pieces? It can't be that hard to rework the gates. Make them take up a 2x2 space or something.
Why do you want doors? Is it aesthetics, or something else?
Anyone can see the building system is incomplete. I assume it is on their road map, but no idea when they will get to these things.
When I saw there were no doors, I just designed my base around that, and if I made buildings with items in them that pals needed to reach (some they don't, like surprising they don't actually need to be able to get to the pal beds), I simply didn't put doors in their way that would block them.
Mostly I simply don't put anything for a pal inside a building. If I do, the building typically has only 3 walled sides. No roof. If a ceiling, it is at least 2 walls high, but higher would be better.
I'm doubting it is actually worse, just now you know how bad it really has been all this time. (Messages now tell you how badly your base is designed.)
I haven't notice that, but do keep in mind that all of a building piece needs to be inside the blue line. Apparently even a tiny little bit of it over the line, it then decays. This part really sucks, but has bit me several times.
