Me? No, I would never kid you. Not sure of the exact numbers, but something like 5,000,000 people like this game. And at least one person (you) doesn't.
Works fine for me (one of the 5,000,000 that like the game).
Well sure, I was being sarcastic. There have been plenty of threads on this topic and similar ones. They generally just peter out when all involved eventually realize they are just talking to themselves here in the steam forums. To talk to the devs there are several ways, like submit feedback (link is in this forum). Also you can submit feedback directly from in the game. Or put in a suggestion in their discord. Or right, submit a review (I don't read those, maybe the devs do).
I've no idea really what this save problem is you are talking about. I do see a huge warning when you play the game that mentions it. It apparently has something to do with when too many pals are captured, I think? Seen someone mention the number 40k. I don't play on a single save more than a couple of months. After that I stop playing or restart from scratch. I assume I'll never hit this problem with my play style.
First started in Character Editor then quit because I thought I got the wrong server, double checked the ip, then again Editor, then I saw our base was gone, but the map was still uncovered, but well, lost everything.
Are you talking about joining an official server? Those suck and really that isn't unexpected, although maybe to you it is.
There are multiple ways you can play this game with 2 friends. Each might have a different reason for the problem you are seeing. Well even each could have multiple different reasons. Often on these forums, people assume since their problem sounds the same it is the same problem. But that is not how software works. Software is extremely complex beyond what you can possibly imagine.
You could play with your friends where you enable multiplayer from you single player game and host the game on your PC. You could be renting a server from a hosting company like Nitrado. One of you could have configured a PC in your room as a dedicated server.
All these scenarios has unique advantages and disadvantages and have many things in common, but then also many not in common.
