cannot buy from black marketeer

Hey guyz question. I try to buy from a black marketeer i have money in my inventory but when i open the marketeer inventory says 0 gold on my gold and i cant buy anything !

You sure it is a black marketeer and not a medal trader? They use the same model but different colour.

Your money has to be on you. If you have it your storage at base, you can't use it. Even if the wandering merchant visits you, you need the money in your inventory. If you are not on a public server, I'd just always carry gold on me. It doesn't have any weight and will stack until just under 10 million if I'm not mistaken. If you are on a public server, then I'd not suggest that as your death chest can be looted. If if it's your own game, no reason not to carry it.

Now Dog coins, those I store at base because they take up a spot and you don't use them often as they take a ton to get anything.

Unless it's as SotiCoto said, if it's the gold colored one handing out at one of the churches, he only takes dog coins. They are not the same as gold coins.
