The average computer user has no need for dedicated antivirus software anymore.
Seriously, get rid of Avast and use Windows Defender instead. It works better than any 3rd party antivirus because it was designed by Microsoft to work directly with Windows, it also probably uses less system resources AND costs zero dollars.
Do some searches online and you'll see that Windows Defender is enough for 95% of people these days.
Think bigger. There can be 10 other games. There are over 10 anti-virus companies. In Game A we might disable anti virus A. In game B surely anti-virus B or C might show a false positive as well. If everyone were taught to disable, then sooner or later all top 10 anti-virus will be disabled. Windows defender will then demonstrate it's weakness.
Just keep the anti-virus you like and add a game to whitelist if there is false positive. That way end users stand strong together with all kinds of different shields. When a bad program is blocked by another anti-virus you never use, the hacker will stop publishing it, and it indirectly helps you too. But if we were to tell others our shield is better and they should remove their shield - we will only make hackers happy.
