So you don't want to risk hackers in your world but you want a mechanic that invites them in if you queue up at the arena? Do you really think that once they are connected, their ability to hack and effect your world just ends?
You gota be trolling at this point, right?
Edited to include the quote.
Hmm, I missed that discussion. So the game runs on your PC. You invite someone to the arena (well if the game had that feature), then the hacker's PC is now communicating with your PC. Seems like that is an open invitation to the hacker to gain full access to your PC and hack it.
For example. I enter the Arena with my 5 Sweepas. A snapshot of the stats is taken (player level, attack, items etc along with Pal stats etc). This snapshot is then used to generate an opponent for someone when they enter the arena.
A different snapshot can be saved each time the player enters the Arena with different Pals/Level. This means that matchmaking can be performed based on player level without any waiting period.
Could easily form community discords or forums around that that could be fun and thriving, similar to how Bloodborne players had arena-events going on that got surprisingly active.
Ai already exists in the game as npcs. Maybe instead of replacing singleplayer arena entirely, maybe there should be an option to battle AI instead of queuing for a real player.
If i get people to join me, then possibly, a hacker can communicate with my pc.
Its worse if they join me, then i battle them, than getting them in a quene.
they aren't in my world. If i get a player in my world, they must start from scratch because you cant transport characters to new worlds.
And it can risk destruction of my world because they can destroy everything.
Also just because one of my "arguments" are "flawed" doesn't make any other one a troll.
Come on man. Do you think this is a troll? I know you know better than that.
Also inviting players to your world to pvp them is most likley a worse idea.
You see, the pal creator mod will work if they are in your world. So they can get op pals, and then destroy everything.
I know i can just kick them, but then pvp is just a very rare experience to enjoy. Its so fun to watch, but so hard to do.
Well, it more less depends. Most of my friends don't have Palworld, and if they do, its only pvp with them. The same guy. (And then he/she most likely will get tired of it for a very long period of time.)
So if its randomized, we can get new players.
I think you are trolling because you seem to have intentionally replied to everyone but the one person who explaind in extremely simple terms why your suggestion has problems. Reread what Wildbill said. I can no longer believe that this level of obtusness and ignorance is anything but deliberate.
I played all of 30 hours only to realize the devs will pander to the care bears instead of making this game one of the biggest games ever.
I mean, FFS a POKEMON PVP style game with full loot and raiding bases? Only twerps and people that can't PVP hate that.
No, just the opposite. This game is wildly popular because there are no toxic PvP players in it. The game is about fun, not death and destruction that PvP players seem to enjoy.
Happy travels back to your favorite PvP game, leave us millions of happy gamers to this game.
First-hand experience in Palworld PvP (like, kinda too many hours of my Palworld playtime even, definitely a few hundreds) tells me that generally people dislike raids in this game. Most people didn't mind droppable inventory, but server counts greatly diminished the moment you introduce pal drops, base destruction, equipment drops, basically anything that's a timesink. Moreover, starter areas need to be protected with how easy it is to just murk low level players with a Jetdragon (or someone like me, who's faster and more versatile than your jet with my Hangyu)
Especially bases needed to be safe because of offline raiding (which is an absolutely stupid concept in general).
Arena is a great step in the right direction because there's no risk or reward to it, its just a fun side thing you can do. I believe you can totally set up a good raid setup in the same vein, but the only way I can see it working is if its instanced and used as an "event" much like the current arena is.
