There is no PvP. There is an arena where you can test your pals against your friends pals and see who wins. I would not truly call it PvP, as I don't think you really lose anything.
Palworld is in no way designed to be hard core. You can have a base destroyed, but your pals just revive 10 minutes later after they "die". There is not much real hard loss in this game.
That is what makes it so popular, but if that is not for you, then there are plenty of other games where you can totally destroy the other tribe.
This game is coop, where you play together, not against each other.
