Moving and Upgrading entire base!
its madness if i even think of redesigning my main base! i feel like we need a Doraemon pocket to keep everything inside, and redesign base without jumping around my other bases for materials. also need base design copy option! just ignore whats inside just let us copy walls, roofs, pillars etc. all we need to have is the materials. example you'll need 999wood 999stone to copy this base. Where to copy base? anywhere from internet or Youtube just like people copy clash of clan bases! Like yall expect us to go one place to another with 9999stone i have like 3 chest full 9999x9999 dunno how much stones lol

I only play single player and there's a great mod that gives 1,000,000 weight buff as long as you are in the radius of a Palbox Management Unit. The buff vanishes outside the radius, so it makes a nice QoL improvement that isn't OP. Of course, you need to be able to have at least two bases for this to work...

Other games have a simple mechanic for it that Palworld should adopt. If you press "move Base" you can just instantly build all buildings in the new spot that you had in your old base and in the old base it gets deleted

That sounds good but the only problem with that might be terrain constraints.

Unless it’s in a completely flat area, how would it manage different heights?

I think the simplest is what fallout 4 did unironically. You got a perk there to link your settlements via a trade route, at the cost of one of your settlers. As long as all of them were daisy chained together, it would link the storage when crafting. Having some build-able structure that links all of a single bases storage into one easy to manage thing, then a second version that is a direct upgrade that links bases would be fire.

I remember at launch you couldn't move at all when over-encumbered, that was hard.

But will say, remember that you can deconstruct bases in the map menu, so if you want to move to a new location, use that and then place down everything again. Kinda hard for a copy mechanic to work when every area has different elevation or water and such

Oh you still have to place them yourself, they dont auto transfer, it just gives you a window that says "build furnace" and then you place it wherever you want in the new location :)

It takes a lot less effort than you think. You're also a fool if you're not carrying a HGG 100% of the time. It's just that useful.

If you're level 4 you're not even far enough in the game to be whining about legitimately moving bases. It should be within reason to assume I mean "when you can get one, you get one asap", but no, you want to be the petty semantics whiner.

Edit: Thanks for the points, ya dip.

If I were to guess at what you're getting at, you're suggesting it is for moving around when overencumbered?

I have to be honest here: I tried using a grappling gun for a while, then put it away because I literally could not find a single use for it, and it was annoying me by taking up a weapon slot. BUT I play the game modded, so my game experience may be different from yours.

Still, if it can move you about easily when overencumbered then I guess it has a purpose.

Yep, thats the big perk to it. When you're just organizing/building, the HGG pretty much makes carry weight irrelevant.

If you tried it out in previous patches, I can definitely understand getting that impression from it, it was unwieldy and its range was honestly too short to be useful. They've fixed it significantly in the big update so now it has a good range and you're not always getting stuck on things. Makes dismantling a base pretty quick and easy when I can just load everything into my bag and whisk myself over to the pal box to transfer everything to storage in another.

The HGG also has a niche use as a "boost" option on foot. Its pretty dangerous to ride a mount at the oil rig, but if you have your HGG, you can aim it at the floor ahead of you and glide at the tip of the arc to go flying towards your next chests.
