Xenoguard is kind of worthless.

He looks cool. And his moves look impressive. They are all these dramatic AoEs. But, none of them do much damage, and he is as sturdy as houses build on sand foundations.

Xenogard have a stat base of 62 defense which is actually on the higher end for pals. Did you check the IVs? Maybe the one you have has low defense.

You could use some skill fruits on it if you don’t like the moves it learns naturally.

I kind of wish it had more work suitabilities though. The common Digtoise can do the same thing.

Naw, I based it on feeling. Mine is under lvled, but he was running with a team of under lvl'ed guys. He just felt pathetically weak comparatively. Perhaps once he's in the 50s he's much better, but in the 40s he's kind of garbage. At least mine is.

I don't usually bother with checking IVs unless I'm looking at two of the same thing and trying to decide which one to keep.

Xenogard's a bit of a tank, with above average HP, solid attack and high defense. The moves it has are admittingly impressive (especially Air blade and Beam Slicer). All of its attacks it gets from leveling are really strong.

It won't be as good as, say, a condensed Quivern. But out of the gate, its a nice all-rounder.
