Increase pal spawn rate but not duplicate bosses?

Is it possible? I'd like to increase pal rate but I'm not fond of having to fight multiple bosses at the same time

If you pump it up to like 1. 7, maybe even 1.9 but can't confirm. That will increase the normal pals by a bit, but not make 2 bosses. What it does is make it more likely you'll see more of them. Guys that are usually solo will often come in packs of two or three, and so on. It basically just ups the probability of seeing pals in groups rather than solo.

go at night, you can either just wake up penking and try to get him one on one without waking up his minions. OR, you can take the minions out one by one then go after Penking, as they'll all be asleep. When your pals at base go to bed, so do they.

That works with Elizibee as well, or King Paca. Or anyone that has minions. Even the solo guys, if they are not nocturnal, then you can get the first hit while they sleep and it give you pretty big bonus damage on that first hit.

So I've been trying to get a Legendary Single-shot Rifle schematic from Verdash and I totally never thought of increasing the spawn rate- I know it's not the point of your original post, but it made me realize I could increase spawn rate to max for farming bosses for drops! In fact, it will probably work for farming rare pals like Selyne too!

So thanks, really, you've given me hope for getting schematics and a male Selyne.

I finally got my pump action, still hunting for my handgun though. I'm ok with doing it one at a time.

Surviving's easy- fully starred-out and souled-up Frostallion Nox with Dark Cannon and Dragon Cannon, each has a 2-second cooldown. In other words I can alternate between those and send a near non-stop barrage to decimate anything in my way! Plus the dark attacks are enhanced while I'm riding, so yeah, pretty much anything but legendaries and higher-level tower bosses are instant toast. :D

The server my friend made I had him set spawns at x2 since I've long reached the endless end game grind every update and I'm always fighting two bosses except for raid bosses and tower bosses. 1.5x also gave us 2 bosses everywhere. You're just going to have to get used to the difficulty of fights ramping up due to the increase in boss numbers. It sucks, but, eh. You stop caring when you're farming and trying to minmax.

I can't imagine people doing the sheer grind this game has with it's endgame on unchanged settings. True psychopathic behavior.

I'll admit, a lot of my EXP (at least for leveling up my pals) came from exploiting the boss capture bug before it was "accidentally" patched out. You got the same EXP for capturing the boss as you did for defeating it, I think.

Now with the Ring of Mercy, setting spawn rates to max and then going to town capturing pals until you get all the bonus for the 1st 12 captures is probably the best way to speed-level.
