Also breeding can result in random traits. Use parents with the passives you want in order to have a better chance at getting pals with the passives that you desire.

Yea I'm familiar with the basics of breeding from back then and even without looking at IV's or whatever they are called here it was a real pain. Now it seems like I have another thing I have to evade in order to be happy with the pal I'm aiming for. Are the gigantified pals randomized? I mean can two normal sized pals create a bigger one or do they only hatch from wild eggs or when one of their parents is a giant one?
It’s random. Normal sized parents can produce an alpha.
