"Due to the addition of many new Pals, some Pal breeding combinations have been changed"
well so far I have not found an updated breeding list anywhere...they all say relaxasaurus + grizzbolt = orserk...I've checked google which is no use as their searching function is ♥♥♥♥ these days and duckduckgo did not come up with anything either
unless you've got an actual website to visit then why even bother posting at all
I know other combinations have changed, but Palworld.GG claims that combo is still intact...
Y'know what...
I've got a testing playthrough I made before the Sakurajima update which has an entire completed breeding chain, so I can test all the steps again to see if there are holes in it...
[Edit]: Not sure my test playthrough is good for anything in this regard any more. I'm still getting the old combos. I believe Pals that were caught or bred before Sakurajima still have their old genetics or something... I'll have to start over on a new file most probably...
[Edit2]: Okay, so I've spent all evening running breeding tests.... only to check back on Palworld.gg and find they reverted the breeding route I was using and it works exactly the same way it used to. Confirmed. No magical route leading to Xenogard any more.
Relaxaurus and Grizzbolt = Orserk.
If you don't get that, you're probably using a mod that fiddles the breeding combos.
I think they added in random alpha pals from breeding. I've just been breeding two identical pals so far. Probably at least 100 eggs and got maybe 5 alphas from the eggs that normally wouldn't have hatched any alphas, but I have raised a few settings that likely in crease the rate, but there definitely seems to be a chance now of getting an alpha from breeding non-alphas.
It was added in a previous update. You have a low chance to get an alpha pal through breeding.
On my first playthrough (which I've since deleted), after learning about the Legendary schematics here, I went farming them and maximised my chances by catching the Pals and then butchering them. Got a few schematics from the butchering.
Yes, those were wild Pal Alphas, but I don't see why the bred ones would be any different if they give the ancient civilisation parts.
See... there is something I realised from fiddling about with Pal data... The Alpha monsters have a different species classification to the regular ones. It is a completely different species ID in each case. And funnily enough, all the Shiny "Lucky" pals are also of the Alpha species. That is why they also drop Ancient Civ Parts.
It is possible to manually tweak a regular Pal to have the Shiny / Lucky flag active, but all the ones that occur naturally are Alpha versions.
