Why no Pal in Ranch that produces Leather?
I'm getting most of my early game mats now, even stuff like High Quality Cloth from pals in the Ranch, but none seem to produce Leather.

I've found a great spot to kill pals (or tame) and get leather. Most things you kill near the Sea Breeze area will drop leather. Especially the Mammorest there, assuming you have something to kill them with.

Still, seems like an oversight not to have a pal for the Ranch. Or am I missing something here?

Because nothing in existence produces leather without killing the animals? 🤷‍♂️

Plus, even if the skin grows back, removing leather from a still-living being just sounds too gruesome.

Ah, reality. Not sure why the real world needs to get in the way of this, but sort of makes sense. I guess a person could breed pals and kill them, but it is probably just less work to go out and kill wild ones.

Now if the would fully automate the breeding (pretty sure they haven't done that yet), then getting the leather by killing your own pals would be pretty simple.

LOL. Yes, you can sheer the sheep, but not remove the skin (well once you could do it, but not repeatably).

Yeah, but that only yields wool; you cannot get leather that way.

Catch the boars then butcher em you'll get leather for catching them then more for butchering them
