Late game difficulty curve issues
I really don't understand why I have to be above level 45 to easily clear the final three towers. It seems like a massive difficulty curve jump to go from around level 30+ to beat lyleen and then the final three are so tough that you almost have to be at least level 45 to beat them. Of course I get that you have to use powerful and appropriate pals to defeat the bosses, but even a level 44 menasting has issues with Orserk for goodness sakes.

I mean, why not spread it out a bit so I can at least beat a tower once in a while instead of jamming the difficulty on the last three towers so high that I basically have to be level 50 to even stand a chance?

Ideally the player should be able to at least contest a boss at every 10 levels, given there's 5 bosses and 50 experience levels. Call me crazy...

To top it off, the grind post level 40 is pretty dire. You have to catch at least 10 of every pal it would seem in order to check them off the list otherwise you'll never get the experience quick enough to sustain interest in the level grinding.

You're expected to farm for the best weapons and armor, the legendary rocket alone does allot of damage to Victor and then you need a Pal that's actually Super effective against him. So any dragon type that has the moves. If you cannot capture them, then breed to get good Pals to help you out. There will be allot of grinding for the best spheres to capture the best Alpha Pals.

It would seem it's just all pal grinding past level 40. Not only for experience but in order to massively condense enough in order to get stars on your pals. of course that's not exactly easy with hard to find pals either. I guess you have to play and game the breeding mechanism in order to breed rarities....

Thing is, by the time you've done this, you're already level 50 anyway before you can easily take out the final three.

It's just making the game excessively grindy, for no good reason, so it doesn't finish quicker. Sure you can accomplish it, but it doesn't feel fun or have much sense of progress.

Another thing that sucks is the coal, sulphur, quartz grinding.

Of course, you can always set up a base around a deposit of these materials, but there's really no point.

You can just cheese this by placing a pal box and a small wooden box near a deposit of one of these deposits (typically coal initially in the desert) and then manually mine all the minerals and drop them in the wooden box.
Then you just pick up the whole heavily load of it and use the palbox right next to you (given you can barely walk with the load) to fast travel it all back to base.
Back at base you just put a wooden box next to the palbox and dump it off as soon as you get back.

Quartz grinding is not a big issue since you only use it for computer chips and anything electronic you make is permanent, get like 300 units in one mining binge and you're set for life. Coal and ore you're always gonna need for both bullets and spheres though.

I can see where you are coming from. I played on a dedicated server on release with standard XP rates and yes grinding to level 50 feels pretty monotonous. I'd say x3 XP rates makes it less tedious but, that's only viable if playing in singleplayer or if you are the admin of the dedicated server. I'm used to grinding games but understand that grinding for the sake of grind is not desirable for many. While I enjoy working toward a goal or finding a creative shortcut or optimization that's not a real reasonable standard for everyone in gaming. Palworld is still an early access game and it seems that for the existing content things were padded out to keep people playing for a while, while content is being worked on.

Not exactly desirable from the standpoint of a gamer but on the flip-side if the grind was made too easy then there is more of an influx of people that have finished content and are anxious for more. It's not exactly the best compromise but is what we're left with. There have been some QOL updates and hopefully when there is more content Pocketpair can revisit some of the existing systems to make it more equalized. Less dead zones and spike in difficulties for the last tower as you stated.

I myself did go into the towers over-geared after excessively grinding stuff to keep myself entertained and to have a better arsenal /pals. That might not be what others want. It's a difficult balancing act but yes, it could be balanced a tad better.

As for the ores, there are only so many shortcuts you can take. I was able to decommission an ore base and just place the Ore Mining Site 2 at my coal base near the Anubis spawn and had a better yield than just normal ore mining. For Sulfur and Coal if I need it I use Astegon with it's new QOL improvements to fill up to over-encumbered and use a homeward thundercloud to TP to my nearest base as it takes me right in front of a palbox, then navigate to whichever base I need to if it doesn't take me to the desired one.

That's just what I do though. You're still sorta left grinding for materials though (IE: I'm grinding Dazzi's with a max condensed Menasting for better material output). So I can understand the boredom of grinding without any other content to engage in and balanced challenges in-between. Right now there is a lull in what you can do. I'm still grinding but if you feel sorta meh about the grind right now, perhaps take a break and revisit when there's more to engage in. If you aren't already doing so that is. Hopefully your concerns are addressed in coming updates because it's a fair criticism; especially if one is crazy enough to want to try and play on official servers while playing hacker roulette.
