Current Best Pal for Dedicated Transporting/Pack Mule?

What the title says. A lot of guide advice seems to reference some pals being distracted by other tasks, but I'm guessing this was made before the introduction of the Monitoring Stand?

Now that we can assign Pals to specifically only do one task (in this case, transporting), who is technically the best? I know that Wumpo has the highest stat, but Wumpo needs to sleep and moves on the ground. Does this mean one of the nocturnal birds is in essence, faster? And if so, which one is the best?

I like the nocturnal vanwyrm cryst and helzephyr (I botched the spelling) for transport. I usually just use the monitor stand to make them only do transport. Anyone else who has transport will transport when they were done with other tasks. I still have issues with people grabbing stuff out of the ranches.

well, small ones that are fast and have high transport level(if they're moving stacks)

Just 1x Lv 4 work speed 147 Wumpo or Wumpo Botan and the entire base is covered for me.

I just have all my beds far away from the ranch and that seems to work. pals wake up and go to the closest hauling duty which is never near the ranch. the work area is also surrounded by a fence so pals that wander on down time can't go near it. Hope this helps.

I run two helzephyr, only time they aren't able to keep up is when my diggers hit the ore field respawns. Run those manually and you're golden.
