It is hard to quantify status effects, as they do not always hold for long enough during capture, but I can confirm that a status effect will at least raise the capture level by 1, if not more.
Naturally. This exercise was undertaken in default settings. I would not be surprized the capture chance decreased with hard mode (it's mentioned in the settings :P). I am curious to know by how much, however. Given that the spheres have a set capture power, them base value must be reduced.
