No, I mean IVs. The same Pals aren't equal, some will have a higher attack stat or defense stat or health, despite being the same level. That's because of something called Internal Values (or IVs). It determines the bonus growth you get to the relevant stat, going up to a 30% increase at 100.
so if I have a pal with an IV of 10 in health, its getting 10% of the 30% full bonus it COULD have if it had 100.
To be honest, this is 100% unnecessary and unless this is something you're really into about min/maxing you should probably forget this whole thing exists :P It's a very long and annoying process to get max IVs (its worse than getting perfect passive skills...and then after I get my perfect IV pal, I need to GET the passives on it...so yeah.)
There is a mod you can get that just tells you what the IVs are without having to use a calculator. Calculators are great, but you'd have to level anything at least to 30 before the calculator gets within the "known" range
That's 100% false. They are the same as Alphas. They have a bit of a bonus but their IVs can tank as much as anything else. You can have basics stronger than alpha/lucky, the alpha/lucky just have a better chance of being stronger.
edit: in fact when you organize your box by "alpha" the game itself doesn't distinguish between lucky and alpha, they are the same group as far as that setting goes in the game. I've had lucky pals with just stupidly bad IVs.
Because I want to, that's really it. I want to make the most beastly flamebelle that I can
edit: I have 0 interest in PvP. Even if I make really over powered teams in terms of stats, I wouldn't bother with it. Just making them stronger is fun enough for me
That's wrong. Wherever you're getting that "they have 1 flawless IV" is just plain bad info. I am using a mod that lets me see the actual IVs, I have several lucky pals that don't even break 75 in any stat
From thousands of cakes of testing and breeding multiple perfect IV Pal teams for various loadouts and playstyles for many players now - from my experience it seems around a 33% chance to inherit the IV from Ma, 33% from Pa and 33% to roll the IV randomly from 0 - 100 just like the game does when spawning a new wild Pal into the world. The figurative dice are rolled once per IV (Health, Attack, Defense).
Furthermore, wild Pals spawn with 4 randomized IVs; Health ,Attack (Ranged), Attack (Melee) and Defense. For any and all bred Pals (unlike wild Pals), they will always have the same Ranged and Melee IVs.
I've gotten a 100 health IV from 16 IV + 9 IV jetragon parents and I've gotten 0 health IV from 100 IV + 100 IV jetragon parents.
