How to get Coal in the game?

Hi. I am around level 35 or so and I can see that soon I am going to need a lot of Refined Ingots to make a variety of things soon. I have an Improved Furnace, but I cannot make these Refined Ingots cuz I do not have Coal. Been playing the game almost 30 hrs now, haven't found any Coal anywhere. What are the secrets of the Coal??

There is a coal field at 100, 58, normal biome.
You can get around 200 coals per one duration. Build a base there to wait them respawn.

You can acquire Coal and Sulfur quite early, they are found in Dungeons. On the beach where you first start the game, there is a Dungeon there and it has Coal and Sulfur.

It's right by Anubis on the map. There are 6 nodes really close to the Anubis icon on the map. Sort of northwest-ish

if you have a flying mount you can head north, i found about 5 or 6 coal deposits next to each other, i just put a base there.

you can also find plenty of sulfur at the volcano, i put a base there as well.

Same shape as ore, but its dull black

Kinda? It has the same general shape as the other ore nodes except it's black. I dunno how else to describe it. It's a much darker color than any of the other nodes.

Either dungeon caves or the desert areas.

In the Verdant Brook, just slightly south of Lily's Tower on a mountain, is a unique place that has coal AND ore all within the radius of a placable base. It's probably the best location to put a support base in the game.
