Prioritize ore over stone pit
I would like for my pals who are able to mine ore/coal/sulfur etc to prioritize mining the ore until it is gone before they decide to jump in the stone pit. Why is this not a thing already? Also the same for the Logging site, pals should prioritize cutting real trees in the vicinity before running to the logging site.

I agree with you that there should be some manner of priority system in place for the various jobs that the pals can do. Something similar to Rimworld would be fantastic.

Would it have been great to have at launch? Yes.
Is it good that this is an Early Access game that seems to be getting continued support? Yes!

The more people we have make valid suggestions, the more likely we're to get good additions to the game. :D

It would be good yes.
For now, build your base on specific locations to get the resources.
Go to a ore/stonecoal location with no to little trees, don't build logging site, if you have real trees and so on.

Yes, more detailed control over what base pals do is one of the things I hope they add the most in the coming months. It's pretty irritating to have Anubis just ignore me when I need help crafting stuff.

For now though all you can do is just not have stone pits in your mining base.

I realize that this is early access and that Is why I am making the suggestion. There really needs to be a way to prioritize some jobs. I dont even want a rimworld style prioritization system i would just like the pals who mine / log to prioritize spawned nodes before the built ones. Like I know that I will need stone at some bases that are dedicated to ore / coal. I can either manually transport that from a base that has stone production or I can build a stone pit at that base. But If I try to automate having stone at that base my pals will no longer mine ore, they spend all day at the stone pit. Just a plea to the dev to make actual nodes within the base perimeter priority before anything built.

Yeah this is a very common request. I want to set task priorites, and would also like to have an option to toggle a structure on or off.

What I end up doing as a workaround is just removing the ore/logging spot and re-building as needed. It's an extra step, but keeps the pals on the right track. Also, something I wasn't aware of at first - make sure the pals can actually handle the task, as in ore mining requires 2 skill so all the 1 skill pals will ignore it. (might be obvious to everyone else, but I missed it)

Yea I was aware that pals had to have 1 mining to do stone pit/logging site, or stone and trees, but needed 2 for ore, and i think 3 for coal / sulfur? I could be wrong on that. Even with all of that If you do not have more than 3 capable miners in the base no ore will be mined unless you do not have enough transporters and the stone pit gets full.

Send them the feedback on their forms. I did it already, I'm sure others also brought up this same issue. Nobody is happy to see 3 anubis run instantly to the stone pit instead of mining the ore around them. The more feedback they see/get hopefully the sooner they fix it

Not a good solution, but a temporary fix: I keep one base with only ore, one base with farming, and one base with stone pit and logging.

The ore base literally has no other tasks than mine ore, carry ore, smelt ore. Stone pit base only has logging, carrying, mining stone, watering crusher.

My farming base has all the loot sorted in boxes and all the crafting stations, the other bases literally only exist to serve this one.

just let the stone pit fill to 9,999 and your problem is solved

I already understand the concept of hauling ♥♥♥♥ around from base to base, what I am trying to do here is got some form of prioritization so that I can eliminate some of the hauling basic materials around from base to base.

but I need stone in the base that I use to mine ore. Tired of carting it back and forth. Seems like a good suggestion to get some prioritization so that you do not have to haul stone around from base to base ya? Not looking for a temporary fix, I already know how to do that.
