Are bosses supposed to retain their size when caught?
I caught a boss cremis, and it's small now when I use it, but I caught a boss eikthyrdeer and it's still big when I use it.

Is one of these a bug?

I caught a cremis that was 12 bananas as a boss, but as my pal, i'ts only 7 bananas, so I assumed all bosses were scaled down in size when you catch them.

I then caught an eikthyrdeer that was 31 bananas and as my pal it's still 31 bananas.

Sounds like a bug to me. You definitely got robbed of your bananas since as far as I know everything should keep its size after being caught.

try to give them water, they shrink when they're dehydrated

It should definitely keep the size. Maybe provide a screenshot where both the alpha and a regular are visible next to each other?

Are you sure, it's the same Cremis? Pals also come out of eggs, if you have an incubator and they go to the same PalBox, it's easy to mix them up. Cremis is that big white pudding Pal with the smaller ones around, is it? Maybe that's a Cremis specific bug, because bosses are supposed to be the bananas size they were the moment you fought and caught them. They don't shrink. So either it's a regular Cremis (maybe by fighting the boss version you've accidentally caught the smaller one fighting at its side?), or a bug.

EDIT: So Cremis is apparently that white Eevee like doggo spawning during the day and as a mini boss it fights alone, so ignore my post about the pudding Pals fighting alongside its boss version. XD

I was thinking about that and Cremis is not official boss in the game (which you can see on map and marked when you defeat them). Main bosses have also a small "mark" on their icon in palbox when you catch them. Wasn't that the boss at the end of the dungeon? These are not counted as official/full-featured bosses and probably scaled down and caught, like a regular Pal (maybe with slightly better stats?)
I'm not 100% sure about it, but it would explain your problem. Try to check if your Cremis has Boss mark in his icon, if not, then dungeon bosses are not counted like classic world bosses.

I went on a Dungeon Boss capture rampage not long ago, so far they are always the larger type with the usual red Alpha icon on their icons after capture.

Sounds like it may be a bug if they still have the red icon but are small.

Oh, thank you for the information. I wasn't entirely sure, as it's been a while since I've been in the dungeon for the last time and I know, that dungeon bosses can be mostly random, so i though, that they are not counted as classic world bosses.
Well... then I'm also leaning towards the possibility that this is probably a bug.

Yep. I'm an idiot. They're different sizes; I just remembered the Cremis as being bigger than it is during the fight. It is bigger than the normal ones though, about double the size, but since Cremis is so small, double size is still pretty small.
