How can i stop dying?

Every single time i just try to go to the temple, i always pathetically, somehow die so quickly. I just found a lucky Robinquill, but the seed mine killed me in two hits. I have pelt armor with 1269 hp. Whats wrong here?!
And i am just tired of the pathetic grunts you makes. I wish there was a better pm mod :/

Some lucky Pals are very dangerous, more so than bosses, bug maybe .. or skill issue. I have captured all the legendaries and headed North, saw a "lucky Vanwyrm Cryst", I have no idea what killed me but I lost 6k HP and shield in like 5 seconds.

Could be I was getting hit by something else, no combat report .. so I couldn´t figure it out.

are you set for the weather conditions? too hot/too cold will end your adventure rather quicker than pal battles. sometimes even logging in i suddenly die for no reason, might be a bug for me, dunno

You level up by catching 10x the same pal. There is linear exp gain to this system.

I forgot to catch some lower level ones from early game and yesterday I caught them, gaining over 5k EXP per catch.

Use your pals as a human shield, Get better shields by unlocking them using points and then make them at benches also using points that you unlock when leveling up. You unlock these things at certain levels. Catch better pals. Use warm weather and weather clothing when needed especially when starting out. Play on the easy game mode. Try not to take on to many pals at once if you can. Use arrows to fight at higher ground when you have the opportunity to do so. Catch a flying pal like Nitewing every so often at the starting area near the forest ruins with an npc sitting by a cooking pot. If i remember Nitewing should be around lvl 11 and you can unlock his saddle in the technology tab at lvl 15 if you have the recources to make it. Also make sure you have Palballs when you catch him. Once you have him you can fight from above however flying is not always safe especially not against ranged weapons like machine guns and so on.

My philosophy is to level my character on catching and killing pals that are lower level than my character. I seldom die and usually get the catch or make the kill.

For instance my level 47 character on a level 42 Shadowbeak was able to kill the level 44 Menasting alpha boss. That is where I'm at, not too high, not too low of a challenge, just about right.

Maybe you are just trying to move too fast in the game? Slow down and do the easy stuff first. You'll get to that lucky eventually.

Or maybe you like the extra risk, but that comes with extra deaths. I like to live on the edge a bit, but not on the dying side of it

What level are you, what's the temple? you mean the syndicate tower?
No matter, if you struggle just get few more levels, solo is slightly challenging but perfectly doable the whole game, i'm mostly playing solo as well. Just get few more levels than intended.
