Anyone know of the "special" chests in the open areas?

There is at least one chest I know of in the Northern part which has a different loot table, that´s where I just got my first and only highest tier legendary in 3 runs. I am not referring to the island sanctuaries. Got the legendary Pal Armour schematic there.

It´s by one of the altars in the ruined city by at the southern part, I returned to it after it the first time had different loot ... can´t remember what.

I wonder if there are most of those chests and that´s why some people seem to get so many legendaries while others struggle to find anything.

the chests seem to have a table based on levels. The northern frozen part has the best chest loot. the red glowing ones need gold keys you will find in the chests that don't need keys. Keep exploring and you will get plenty of loot.

I know about the keys and the golden chests, never got anything out of those, but there is a "special" chest, I didn´t even require a golden key for that legendary drop.

That is the one bugged chest that take no key to open but always spawn top tier look options. (Loot pool 6 which is normally locked behind a gold key)

Its in the known bug list

That's nifty didn't even know there was a special chest. What are the co-ords ? I can kinda tell where it is from the location but co-ords would help a lot.

you open your map and in the bottom left it has coordinates

When you bring up the map move your cursor to your icons location the map will have a x and y number

I went looking after this, but it seems like its an actual thing, so I apologize. I am still skeptical until I try it myself, but at least its not completely impossible as I initially thought. My bad for sounding rude.

The other guy who wrote the post in Reddit which make made me check the altar also found the same armour along with another who replied. That´s three people including me who found the same armour schematic, so maybe it´s not random if it does drop the legendary.
