Best Gardening combo/pals
What do you guys use for gardening? I used to use a Lyleen to plant and harvest, but noticed that didn't work as well with bases that had more than one crop type. Worked well on outposts that just grew berries though. In my main base I use a Broncherry to plant and a Frostallion Noct to harvest. Both scenarios use a Jormuntide to water. That seems to work well, but takes up 3 spaces instead of 2. Any advice?

I've been using a Penking for watering since it can mine for stone between crop waterings and then transport the harvests once they're picked. Personally I try to use smaller Pals just because the larger ones get stuck too often. Flopie isn't too bad for gardening since it can plant, harvest, and transport so you get a 3-in-1 deal.

See, I was originally using Penking early game. He kept mining and ignoring crops, so I ended up going to the other little penguin and he just takes forever.

I'm fine with two Lyleens, two Verdashes and some waterers, but I can tolerate having to pick up slack myself because I know how overall bugged the AI is in this game. Currently I have a couple Surfents to water, but I do need to replace them with Suzaku Aquas. I don't care about Water Lvl. 4 because I don't like how big Jormuntide is.

I've got a couple berry plantations, a wheat, tomato and lettuce one along with a ranch for eggs and milk. Drops do pile up though so I need to manually collect a lot of them myself. The output is good enough to keep me supplied on all the food I need. Verdashes like to ♥♥♥♥ off and kick trees which is annoying. I really don't think there are any Pals that aren't going to run into issues. Best thing you can do is build your base to avoid as many hangups with pathing as possible.

I think i bred some weird Knockoff Gardevor with 4 in planting and 3 in handiwork or something from a Ranch combos guide. So i bred a army.

Unfortunately my affixes were Miner foreman + clumsy (-20-30% work speed?)

So now i have a army of 40 farmers being fed to each other to get rid of the clumsy trait. Having children immediately replace their mothers. Not as a evil pal base, but a spa and leisurely work one.

That just happens to have genetic projects because i can't get them to stop farming anything but the crops I DON'T NEED.

Resulting in me pulling out a glock on my TRUE ENEMy of the base... Not my pokemon.

But the UNREMOVABLE WITHOUT GUN farm plots my pickaxe could no longer reach! XD.

Also FYI. Does anyone know how to destroy the wooden/storage crates, not the chest boxes?

I fire bullets, i axe, i sword, i pokemon. it seems invulnerable to damage and i can't remove it and it seems immune to all damage and unremovable(???)

use the bees.they have a lot of stats in different areas but if you get a few artisans it makes massive difference for gardening.not to mention they will give you free food with honey.

2 lyleen, 2 verdash and one suzaku aqua, all of them 4 starred and bred to 254 Work Speed

Is a true farming machine, 1k salads and tomatoes per hour at least.

So I have to correct myself here by saying that Petallia might be a better choice for gardening... I really should look over my Pals again.

Honestly. I like versatility on paper, but it seems as you get bigger bases. If you have 1, i dont' mind.

But it seems like lvl 4 pals work like 10x faster than lvl 1 pals, source also my hind's complete exaggerated guess.

But like the Lucario never does handiwork since it's always busy mining over crafting work unless lift assigned or pokeball assigned. It works so fast it unassigns itself, but not automatically so it will ignore tables UNLESS assigned or mining area destroyed.

But since you churn pokeballs out, you need stone. But since lucario won't craft unless assigned. I just gave up and pokeballed one to use for crafting tasks, and left the rest on lvl 3 mining.

The bee as well is versatile. But i already have a lot of overlap. I have a dedicated waterer. I skipped the fridge pokemon since the timer seemed to reset unless a mon was camped 24/7 and making them all eat salads (30% work boost(?) ) or berries (unlimited simple food with abundant seeds) seemed easy.

The gardening pokemon does at least 4 things. lvl 4 planting, lvl 3 handiwork, lvl ?? harvesting(?), then who knows what.

Lucario covers mining.

My Fire birds cover lvl 3 heating/cooking.

And then my enslaved Merchant covers all my needs for horns / Medicines / Bones / Elemental essences. Though i still need to enslave a ammo farmer, despite having a ingot + coal for refined ingot base and sulfur caves marked.

I'm currently just using Lifmunk and Fuack for gardening, myself, tho I bred them to have +110% work speed. Next task is condensing to raise their work suitability further... :cryptocool:

Those stone pits and logging sites just take extreme priority over everything else, even eating and sleeping. Pals will get stuck to them and work themselves to death. Anubis will always rush to do some crafting if all they have to mine are ore nodes. If I need my Anubis to make me something, I just need to disassemble my stone pits and there aren't any problems.

I prefer Lyleen. Have you tried using 2 Lyleen and maybe condensing to max? I use elphidran aqua for watering, because I don't like ugly mon's.

If you let the mining and logging sites fill to 9999 they won't try to use them any more.
So i farmed up 9999 of both, stacked up in a chest, then just let the Pals fill up the mining and logging farm. If i use the 9999 in the chest i have another 9999 ready to go.
