Lower pal breeding time?
Is it possible to lower the time it takes for 2 pals to produce an egg?

Im aware of how to lower incubation time, but havent been able to find how to lower the time of making an egg.

Currently it is taking about 3-4 minutes for pals to make eggs, and it just seems incredibly long.

Any ideas on how to lower that time?

I believe (not actually 100% sure). that it's currently not possible to lower incubation time, check out nexus mods, maybe someone made it possible.

Okay, firstly that's not what the post is about. Secondly, you CAN lower the incubation times under the game's world settings. Go into custom, reduce it. Or make it longer if you're into that.

@OP: Don't sit there and watch the eggs. That's literally like watching paint dry. Go catch/hunt some Alphas, raid some factions bases and free some pals, go organize your palbox, just do anything besides sitting there and watching egg laying. You'll come back to 6-10 eggs if you left enough cake.

Thats fair to say don't watch them, but Im at a point where waiting for eggs is the only real thing I need to do.

Actually timed it and its 7 minutes per egg, assuming the game doesnt lag out and stop producing eggs.

So apparently if you have the monitoring station and set it to a brutal pace, pals that are breeding will in fact produce eggs faster. And due to the fact they don't need to eat or lose sanity while breeding there's no downsides for doing so. That said, the rest of the pals at the base will suffer.

out of curiosity does that apply to egg incubating time too or is that fixed?
Just wondering if i can dedicate a base to super fast breeding.
OP should test egg laying time with the monitoring station. Seems they have plenty of time to do it.

why 'apparently'? dont tell me nobody decided to test it themselves so now we have this creepypasta going around
I think breeding time is fast enough. I got an Anubis 4 stars after 12 hours of breeding.

The monitor station doesn't affect the breeding time but it does extend how long pals breed for so you get more eggs but they are still producing them with the same 6 min time frame. I wish there was a setting for this and other things in the INI but there isn't so we need to wait for more updates. Outside of the breeding time you can adjust the incubation time to hatch them faster, it's all you can really do.

Alright i did the test to check for real.

I used 4 Jormuntide Ignis, 2 of which had all 4 workspeed passive skills and at 4 stars, also some soul investment into workspeed but that one wasnt maxed.
the other 2 had no passive skills, 0 stars and no soul investments.

timed it so females were put into breeding farm first and then started the timer the moment the first male was added (first one to start breeding were the no stars ones), time taken until second male was added was 13 seconds.

after 4 minutes and 53 seconds i got my first egg from the no stars pair, after 13 seconds the other pair also dropped their egg. literally no difference.

then i added the monitoring stand and set it to brutal using only the no star pair for more accuracy, no stars pair took 4 minutes and 57 seconds to produce an egg. which weirded me out so i did it again while setting monitoring stand to normal.

this time it also took 4 minutes and 57 seconds for the no star pair to produce an egg.

monitoring stand makes no difference, stars makes no difference, work speed makes no difference.

the only thing that probably speeds it up is the world speed setting, so i went in and changed day time speed and night time speed from 5 to 0.1 in the setting and did the test again.

this time i also used no star pair, 4 minutes and 57 seconds. day time speed also doesnt affect breeding.

TLDR: work speed, monitoring stand, condensing, souls and day speed setting dont affect breeding unless my game is broken

indeed it needs its own setting in the INI if its even configurable in the code.

5 minutes isnt that long, go do other things

people wanting faster process are people missing the points of the game, they will rush the end content and leave. to anotehr game next day.
They are the same breed asking their parents in the car; when are we arriving? or bashing their job for finish early.
they dont care of the trip they want their reward and will leave.
