Ive been given palworld as a gift. Is there any way to refund it so that my friend can get his money back?

Double check the steam support page, but I think that they get the money back once you've refunded the game and removed it from your account.

it is a gift, is there any real reason to send it back for a refund? keep it in the collection and play something else if you don't want it. considering you didn't pay, it doesn't matter.
well it does my guy im not ever going to play this game any time soon why take 30 euros from my bro like that? doesnt make sense. when time is right ill buy it for myself.

Have you ever considered maybe they got the game so you could play with them?

how did i not think of that.. well for starters they gifted me first then he got it for himself today. secondly as good his intentions where he forgot that i got a patato and cant run it. even if i could i never said i want to play the game, i just said in a stream that game looks cool, guess he thought i might like the surprise.

At the end of the day it was his choice to gift you the game and he done so knowingly or at least I hope he did otherwise that would a whole other topic on account security.
I am assuming he thought you would like it? I have no idea here as only you or he can ever truly answer that.
As others have said check the Steam Support pages as it is probably listed there about refunding gifted game if that is even a thing.
But I would advice you do it quickly as there is a time limit on refunds of less than two hours play time or less than two week from purchase date.
If either of these limits have been hit then you/he will be out of luck for a refund but once again that is even if it is possible to refund a gifted game, not going to look into it for you.

I guess they would communicate that between themselves. If his bro/pal/friend gifted the game to play together, he would say so, wouldn't he? You don't gift a game to someone without telling them the reason. "Yo, bro, here's a game, enjoy, it's multiplayer capable, but play it single, don't thank me, bye"

Now, OP, the real question is, does your bro (pal, friend) want his money back? Did he ask you to refund?

You should have refused the gift then.

If someone gifts you something and you don't want it, you just refuse the gift, and it sends it back to them. They can then refund it from there in their Steam inventory or send it to someone else.

He gifted you the game, so keep it, have it in your library and when you upgrade your potato, you could try it out, maybe you'll like it, you won't need to buy it again then. If he didn't ask his money back, then why would you want to return it? A gift is a gift. Don't look a gifted horse in its mouth.

Just hit the support tab and say you cant run it, they will tell you to notify your friend that they are now able to request a refund for the gifted copy through their own palworld support tab under "So and so's name" Gifted copy

That's kind of a ♥♥♥♥ move. Accept the gift, say thank you, and smile.

I mean, kinda rude to refuse a gift in its own way, but that’s between you and him. Think he’ll have to refund the gift on his end tho?
