PalServer Dedicated Server Host randomly shuts down?
Hi,

Have any1 encounter their PalWorld Dedicated Server on steam randomly shuts down? This is happening recently and i have to manually start it again (Never happened before). The host is running offline version of steam with it owns dedicated PC host.

Any suggestion? I have disabled firewall and virus security. Still recently started happening. Could this be too much items stored on each players?

It even happens randomly with 2 players online. PC is more than capable to host and was able to host 10 players with no issue. This random crash just started happening recently. It just closes the PalServer.

Corrupt save file causes the server app to 'crash' and turn off. The game may load fine and look fine until player X with a corrupted pal then does something with that pal and boom, server is offline.

Have you used any of the pal save file 'check' utility online to see if you have corrupt data in your save?

https://github.com/magicbear/palworld-server-toolkit

The json save file format is full of 'old' data which is not in game anymore but still in the save file, this can also cause the file to grow large and cause other issues.

Once the save file gets to around 60 megs (compressed) due to lots and lots of orphan data (saved containers data when the container is not longer in the world) it will start crashing.

Lets hope they fix the save file data soon

The save folder has only KB. But i will try it. It does sound like when i get on, it crashes after few minutes. Maybe as a host on the other pc has my corrupt save. Can this be fixed with that tool without wiping the data?
