Breeding same species.
Prob a dumb question but I'm old school and prefer discussion over google.

Does breeding the same pal of 2 dif sex give you the same pal presumably?

And how does stat passing work? Got 8x Quiverns, 2 of which have burly/muscle+3 and 2 of which who have artis/quick+3. how best to make the ultra egg please?

Long story short, parents pass their passives to their children, but it's not guaranteed and they can get some other random passives, or even some empty passive slots, but passives from parents are more likely.

It absolutely does.

Yeah, you're more likely to get passives from the parents, but that doesn't mean you can't get completely random passives too.
Must wait sex patch

Now why would I want to breed with the same species with so many others around...

Oh you meant same Pal species.

high chance of getting similar iv to either parent but some chance of random value

Someone did the math and it looks like you stand more of a chance for those passives to pass on to the child if the parents have two of the passives you desire on each to achieve the child gaining all four passives you want.

example:
1. one parent has all 4 passives you want while the other has none or four passives you do not want there is a chance that some of the ones you do not want will transfer or random passives get applied.
2. One parent has two of the passives and no other passives, the other parent has the other two passives and no others passives then any children they produce will have a better chance of getting all four of those passives but it is still not guaranteed.

From testing I have done of this theory it does seem to be the case but take that with a pinch of salt as I could be completely wrong or just lucky.
