beat it down to one health use a ice mon to get it low and then alternate with the sword or pick axe depending on how much damage each does and use a legend ball.

freeze it and shoot it with a rocket, it goes flying into the air. If you"re lucky he will have 200HP left when it falls. Is it cheating or a happy coincidence?

Shoot it until its almost dead and then throw a sphere. There, you got a jetragon.

Start by getting Frostallion.
Once you have Frostallion, Jetragon is free.
Frostallion can be kited pretty easily.
The fight will take forever but it is doable.

get him stuck on that big volcano opening where he roams by and dot him with fire pal and poison arrows

You can make him drop down in certain area by the side of cliffs, it's between lava and his spawn area, he will get stuck there, spawn a big damage pal and let him go at it, shoot him from time to time so he doesn't aggro just to your pal, you must stand fairly close to him or he despawns and respawns uptop again

I had to use a rocket launcher, pal metal armor, and a lot of rockets. Having tanky pals works too as they can be used as distractions.

This. With frost stallion freezing em in a ball of ice and rocketting him he usually dies pretty fast due to fall damage or just a sliver of health left. Only caveat to be careful about is that on rare occasions, hitting it with the rocket causes the iceball to go -down- under the mesh and kill em so you'd also lose potential drops too(which can include the legendary rocket launcher schematic).
