Capturing merchants
Before update when u capture merchants you could spawn him into base and buy items, I just captured shady pal merchant and he does offer any items, just a simple talk, did they fix that or is that this one only ?

I have to try with other merchants then, as one which I have does not work
dont think the shady pal merchant trades at all, it just aggro's about protecting his herd of moocows
I have tried to speak with my captured merchants. I have no options, I can feed and pet, but that's it. I've tried the Viewing Cage, I've added them to my base, and I've tried on my team. but nothing.
Not working for me either
The wandering trader I cought works just fine, he sells and buys stuff.

ive got two Green outfit and one yellow outfit dude.
the shady trader does not give you anything after you catch him I do not know if its a bug or intended, but they aren't worth wasting any balls on so stick to the other two merchants and the caravan leader as well as the medal/black marketeer vendor and the bounty vendor.
Shady Pal merchant was never an actual merchant you could interact with to buy and sell, hes just dragging a group of pals along as a random encounter. He just talks about that.

I captured the new Caravan leader (bit difficult as hes level 50 and only comes by rarely) and I'm able to buy and sell stuff with him. My older merchants I captured prior to the update still work for buying and selling.
Wandering traders still work for me, but as someone else already said, Shady Pal Merchant (blue coat) doesn't sell anything.
the caravan leader is actually easy to catch if you let him wander a bit from his guards they won't aggro when you do that making it easy to get him.
Necromancers are smelly

he isn't tradeable for me he just runs off and doesn't talk to me at all.
from what I see the merchant';s that visit you (Green shirt), you can capture, and he still sells stuff to you when you plop him down into your base, and so does the Red Shirt Merchant as well, who sells blueprints, along with general stuff.

Pal Recruiters do not work like normal merchants, and I suppose I could see why, since it's literally free Pals.

Can't say I've caught a whole lot more than that. I have noticed though that they do have seemingly have random Job skills, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Merchants, and humans in general couldn't do any jobs before.

Kind of nice having Humans around to do tasks albeit only lvl 1, just a little more immersive. Granted, now I want to try an capture the actual Human Npc's they've added like farmers, to see if they have higher leveled jobs.

I believe they all had Handiwork before, but in a recent update (not sure if it was this last one, might have been) many got more versatility.
