can't connect to any server
I haven't played Palworld in a while, and with the most recent update I thought about getting back into it, until I got met with the continuous "Your connection to the host has been lost." errors for both public and private dedicated servers.
This only happens when trying to play on my Steam Deck, which weirdly enough is my preferred way of playing this game...

I have tried:
  • Restarting game
  • Restarting router
  • Restarting Steam Deck
  • Verifying game integrity
  • Reinstalling game
  • Reconnecting to wifi
  • Using a different internet connection
  • Change Proton version
  • Use Proton-GE
  • Change DNS servers
  • Deleting Proton Files

What makes this more confusing is the fact I can connect to the dedicated server's API just fine, even when setting it to the same port as the game itself...

I am completely out of ideas for things to try...

Same Issue.
Same P2P is also not connecting.
I thought it was just me. Hopefully this gets addressed.

glad I'm not the only one with this issue... I ended up having to keep the game installed on the laptop after I tested if it works on there, but I'd much rather play on the steam deck since it's more comfortable and portable
same issue here, except i play on a laptop instead of steamdeck. i've done just about everything i can think of. restarting game, restarting laptop, verifying files, reinstalling game, verifying files AFTER reinstalling
i reached out for palworld support but havent heard anything. that was three days ago.

I sent a DM to the official Twitter account out of desperation. If I hear anything useful back I'll post here
Same issue connecting to local listen server.
Anyone had any luck? New update today but it didn't fix this issue for me
Same here. My PC client updated via Steam automatically and my rented dedicated server was restarted, they both say the same version but I keep timing out and not connecting. I assume it's BECAUSE of the update, this is my first time experiencing connection issues.
GUYS I don't know how you could do this for the steam deck but I fixed it for laptop! I uninstalled Palworld AND Steam, then reinstalled both and it let me connect to a server!
In the meantime I also installed Razer Cortex but I'm not sure if that was related
Steamworks Common Redistributables also downloaded but I'm again unsure if that's related
