Mods that are confirmed broken after the April Update

Mods that are now broken until the mod author updates them for the latest Palworld version. If you have any of the below installed, the game will not load.

Broken Mods:

Pal Analyzer
Ore Crusher (Probably not needed now due to new Ore Pit)
Rebalanced Mount Speed
Base Camp Area Range 2x
Bullet Tracers

Thought I would post this for those who are crashing on startup due to mods and want some help finding the ones that need updating.

Mods that appear to be working fine (Game Loads with these. Not extensively tested):

All Texture and Model Mods
OK Mod and any pal variant mods that require it seem to be working
Improved Anti Aliasing
No Tutorial
HD Map
Assign Pals
Catch and Release
Nuzlocke Death
First Person Camera
Pal IVs
Storage Integration
TEH Force Feed
TEH Stuck Pal Rescuer
Merge Drops

For mods how used UE4SS, i found a fix.
You need to delete somes files from your game

Folder : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Palworld\Pal\Binaries\Win64
Delete these files :

- dwmapi.dll
- UE4SS.dll
- U4SS-settings.ini
- README.md
- Changelog.md
- Mods (directory)

Its most likely that you had a mod somewhere that was breaking the game still. So that is why removing all your mods and UE4SS would fix it.

The mod list I posted was only the mods I found to be causing problems for me, and the mods I managed to get working since the update. It is not a definitive list.

By sharing what mods are working/not working, it reduces the amount of trial and error adding/removing mods others need to do to get the game working again.

Absolute worst case would be having to backup the save, wipe the steamapps\common\Palworld directory and the appdata\Local\Pal folders before restarting ,re-installing, and putting the save files back. Which if that does not fix it, not sure what will. But this would mean re-installing your mods, reshade presets, custom engine.ini too which probably is not necessary for most people.

You probably don't have to uninstall ALL the mods. Is what I am trying to say.

The game did load for me with Ore Crusher

BUT it made all the new recipes (glasses, slab, ring of mercy) not appear in any of my crafting stations. As soon as I deleted the mod from the Paks folder the recipes showed up. It was the only mod I had to remove in my case

I think mods that edit crafting recepies have to replace the entire recepie table. So its probably the case that all these types of mods are now broken as they wont have the new recepies. At best things will be missing. At worst it will crash.

Probably same with mods that edit pal stats as new pals have been added that wont be in the old tables. I.e. the pal mount speed mod.

Removing UE4SS and it's mods folder didn't fix the game for me... still launches to a black screen and does nothing. Every other launch is a (Not Responding).

Going through my LogicMods and other Mods under Content one at a time. Will report back with anything I find.

EDIT: I found the mod causing MY black screen lockup... it was Effigy Factory (actual name is Replace Statue of Power).

You should edit your post and remove the suggestion to delete your mods folder. Deleting the 3 named UE4SS files in that directory is all you need to do; you're likely causing more problems down the line when you try to mod again if you delete the whole mods folder, especially if you're using a mod manager. 90%+ of the mods in that folder--if not all of them--are working fine, and Vortex is going to throw a FIT when it sees those files gone.

Best bet would be to wait till th emod gets updated but it can be a gamble

if you have any npc human mod try uninstalling it and installing the improved version.

Found another mod, Duck's Useful Recipes, was causing my game to crash with a serialization error.
PalAnalyzer DID cause a serialization error until I updated it.
StorageIntegration is not currently working but does not cause my game to crash.

I do yes, but this post is what helped me with my crash issue, so to a degree even though its old, its still somewhat relevant
