Work Speed is kind of bad.
Stamina depends on how much climbing you intend to do. It's possible to leave it with no levels.
Weight is very useful, it lets you grab more things at once before you have to unload. It lets you carry more out in the field.
Health's necessity depends on the difficulty setting. On normal damage settings, you don't really need any. On harder difficulty settings, you may need a LOT.
Attack Can increase damage with specific player attack builds, but the gain is very small, and you'd need to add 30+ levels at the sacrifice of weight, which means you would not be able to carry a lot of weaponry either. If you're not building for personal player damage, I'd leave this at Zero. You can do player damage build at any time, but for the Attack stat itself, it's only an end game stat. I would leave it at Zero and respec to it at a later level if/when you feel like doing personal player damage.
Do not put any more points in anything other than 3-5 more in weight carrying and the rest in Stamina, maybe 2 more in HP but that's it. Absolutely do not put any more points in attack at ALL.
What I tend to focus on primarily is HP and weight, with some points in attack. I was 1250 weight by the time I hit endgame, and could have done with more. I made the mistake of building my primary base someplace with no metal nodes, so might not need it if you don't need to do that, but I found it made my life a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easier doing the 4-5 mining sites I'd empty for my metal/coal runs.
Work speed you don't really need at all, just grab/breed yourself an anubis and chuck it out whenever you need handicraft work done. It works so ridiculously fast compared to everything else that no other pal is really relevant for handiwork once you have one, and it gets even faster if you condense.
