Do you think they will make a couch co-op multiplayer mode?
My girlfriend has her own single-player world on my PC, as her laptop is a potato that is underpowered.

My current PC should be able to handle it. i7 9700 KF 3.6 ghz, 64 DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA 3070 12 gig. 2tb SSD.

Finances are not here for her to upgrade to a newer laptop. We both love the game, and it would be fun to play together.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard any speculation about a co-op world we can have?

BG3 lets you play together on the same machine, but you each have to use a controller. (Which works better than I had anticipated). I just have the PC plugged into the 55 inch tv, so can see our own sides easily but it doesn't get the best resolution, as expected.

I know we are comparing two different things here, but was curious.

I personally haven't heard anything about it, but I thought I would reach out. Thanks in advance.

I haven't really seen lots of split screen multiplayer games lately probably because lots and lots more people are able to afford their own devices nowadays than, say, 15 years ago. Might have something to do with trying to optimize (more things happening on one machine) the game to run 2 players at the same time and the benefit is minimal (you're kind of the outlier who'd want this feature)

I doubt a split-screen option will ever be possible. Something you could try if your system has enough resources is running a VM on your system and install another copy of Palworld and Steam in there. Providing you have two monitors you could probably assign the VM to one monitor and your main PC to the other. There's undoubtedly several more hoops you'll need to jump through to make it work but beyond buying a whole new laptop it's an option.
Due to the way the game works, I highly doubt split screen would ever function on a playable not insufferable level.
