So Pillars are critical
My first base also has some boss spawn building locks so half floors would greatly help. as well as half stairs. The other thing I believe would greatly improves our cliff side bases is more liberal floor placing into rockfaces. so we do not have large ugly angular pitfall holes inside structures.
