Fast travel usability difficulties
I use a gamepad and when I try to select fast travel destinations it is an absolute PITA as the icon shoots all over the place. The best approach I've found so far is to just let it hit the border of the map and then, instead of using the L-stick, use the d-button but even that's very finicky and awkward.
Has anyone else been having the same problem and come up with a better solution?

Thanks

Zoom in or use your mouse.

Tried zooming in previously, problem remains. Will give the mouse suggestion a try next time. Thanks

I use a gamepad as well. Does this same issue happen when you just pull up the map to examine? Or only when you try pulling the map up from quick travel?

For me, I play with my Nintendo Switch controller. You have to enable options under controller settings in Steam. BUT

Even with all this, everytime I load up the game, the very first instance I open the map it bugs out, zooms in and out randomly and shoots to whatever corner of the map it wants, almost as if a phantom finger is messing with me.

I pulled my hairs out trying to trouble shoot this and the solution frustratingly seemed to be the issue vanishes when pulling up the map a second time on. but the whole thing restarts if I quit and come back in, but again, only the first instance.

the right stick UP and DOWN will zoom in and out
you can use the left stick or the D-pad to move around in the map
you cannot warp while moving or doing any action at the moment of opening the interface from the statue interaction.
if using a "warp from anywhere mod" you cannot warp while mounted or moving or doing anything other than standing still.
sometime being hit at the moment of interacting with the statue will count as a movement or action, which mean warp will not work at all. you need to close and re-open the warp statue.

I use a gamepad and I have no issue whatsoever even with 3 base next to each other and stuck to a warp statue and an arena. I can warp exactly to the point I select. I actually have more issues with the mouse for some reasons. it select a point next to where I click instead.

just to make sure, I highly doubt that is the case but... You can only warp from and to Base (pal box) or Warp statue already unlocked. If it's grey, it's not unlocked.
Just ignore this part if it doesn't concern you, there's no ill intent here.

The mouse suggestion works, much easier to use fast travel now.
Thanks

Ah, I had this problem before too. You go into...I am not sure if it was the steam controller settings or the in game controller settings, I messed with both. Anyway, I made the "active" range for the thumb stick larger.

It seems palworld has an extra small radius for what it considers movement for the thumbstick, to the point not moving, moves it. Once I increased the size of the radius, no more issue

edit: I can't go into game at the moment, but I looked at my steam settings for the thumbsticks, and didn't see what I was looking for, so you can probably adjust it in game

i use a controller and know the issue. Its a bug that is like " oops crap let me hit O then X again and have fun. But to answwer, once the bug hits the mouse doesnt change anything. Basically you say want to travel back to base bt it goes "nope" and sends the cursor to another area. You ever close a door and it doesnt latch and you go "oops" and push it shut? Yeah thats how critical it is. You didnt go online and go "my door doesnt shut"

Confirming the dead zone adjustment has helped a lot, though have had to crank it WAY up on the left stick to stop the bouncing around the place. Thanks

Same thing happens for me. I just use the mouse to pick the location, it's far less frustrating.
