Mining Sites vs nodes

I noticed that Pals with mining level 2 start to bash ore/rock nodes.
Is this more efficient than those mining sites or should I try to find a base without nodes nearby, so pals focus on the mining site.

No, nodes are more efficient.
Site is only worth it over nodes when,
A: The pal can fill the site's circle in a single hit.
B: You don't have a transport pal(s) good enough to collect all the node ore and thus it will despawn.

starters with level 2 mining will do better mining nodes, just like they are better on rocks than a stone site. You can get away with a mining site, but you'll want to start breeding up those level 4 miners+ getting traits for them.

no... with level 2 mining pals, nodes are better. Just like with stone sites, higher level miners with good traits will start to overtake with sites. They have fast mining speed, they don't have to move around, and transport is better because it's not dropping little bundles.
