Can we stop saying "Palworld is a small indie studio that's understaffed"
Halo 1 launched with 40 developers.
If you log into the game the Credits option is listed on the start screen. There are over 150 main developers that work/worked on Palworld. To say it's a "Small indie studio that's understaffed" is just out-dated and spreading misinformation at this point. There's actually MULTIPLE studios that work/worked on Palworld.

Not only are there 82* ish main developers, I'm not counting another 100+ that fill other positions at the company. This being SFX devs, voice actors, the community managers, admins of various platforms, mods, translators, etc. The original 150 I guessed turns out to be wrong, based off of melonLord's analysis of the credits list done below.

Check them here yourself, or check in-game, or Google the following link:
https://www.pocketpair.jp/palworld/palworld-credit

Edit: melonLord has graciously done the due diligence of going through everyone on the list and coming to the conclusion that there's 82 people whom work/worked on Palworld.
While it could be more, or less, I'll take their word for it.

This is still a tad above a "small indie studio" and would probably place Pocketpair in the A or AA bracket.

Edit: Might as well plug while you guys are giving me all of this attention. Don't forget to check out my newest vid coming out in 1 hour! Where I release the location of a 3rd cave base that I found. :)

Typical echo chamber corporative male excuses like "Palworld is a small indie studio that's understaffed" is the reason why the games are so low-quality, buggy and broken nowadays.

Keep defending bad products, guys. See how the games will continue degrading in quality.

I'm all for defending Palworld, with over 500 hours in the game I'm still enjoying it. I just don't enjoy people saying the game is ran by a handful of people when it clearly is not. If it is, then they should probably fire off the 200 or so people that are listed under their Credits and apparently not doing anything lmao

They were upon the release of Palworld, so what is there was developed by a small indie company. The succes of the game allowed them to greatly expand, but all the new help needs time to be brought up to speed first. We can't expect to see any real effect of that in just a months time. We should hold judgement until say 6 months when all the new help has had time to settle in. Though that doesn't mean we can't be critical or say what we like and dislike about the game. Just that we should be a bit lenient and offer them a bit more time.

Did you know there's such thing as A, double A and triple A?
Yet for some reason people just default to "either it's indie or triple A"
no, it can be somewhere in the middle

It doesn't matter what facts you give, people will defend this game until it eventually is mis-managed into the dirt.

Over a month after a super successful launch and we got what? A few patches and more broken things added to the list

I'm also the author of the post "10 reasons why people prefer palworld over pokemon" and yet people are somehow blind to that fact or the other comment where I said I have over 500 hours in palworld, and still just click the reply box, leave an insult and move on. I wonder how they manage IRL with goggles that thick.

Not every you listed works for and at PocketPair. So yes you are clueless how credits work. Look at Starfield 3/4th are overseas.

Entitled much? Even if they did release content you'll still feel like you are owed more.

thatch what happens when a tine new comer humiliates triple a gaming
it gets compared to triple a games and skips the a and aa games

why compare it to a or duble a when you can compare it to even higer standards

not that triple a games has had any high standards the last 10 years

you dont hit down you only hit up

Sure. Around the same time that people stop saying stuff like "game dead", "game made using AI", "studio getting sued by pokemon", and other such nonsense.

I mean, anyone throwing out inflammatory and slanderous troll bait without a shred of proof to give it credibility should be met in kind, no?

There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that the majority of the game's defenders will turn on Pocketpair if - and only if - they actually abandon the game. Actions speak a lot louder than words do, and plenty of us are familiar with the likes of archeage, atlas, bless, dark & light, pixark and others like them. We know abandonware when we see it, and so far, this isn't being treated like abandonware. I don't think I've played another game in my life where I've seen 200-600mb of hotfixes a day, even during their launch week.

That said, the forums here are getting pretty stale, it's largely the same two or three posters/9-10 accounts spamming the same tired BS ad nauseum. Maybe we'll finally start to see the activity here die down properly in the coming weeks.
