Apologies if I wasn't clear before.

What I meant was that there should be mods available that allow you to customize your character within the game.

I did some searching and came across a mod called "Palworld Save Editor" on Nexus Mods, which I thought might be what you were looking for.

However, since you mentioned that you're not a fan of mods, I realize now that my suggestion may not have been helpful.

Honestly i just seriously dont want mods because that just makes the game too easy and i was just concerned if they would add gender customization when i was creating my character it said "Re-customization will be in a later update"

two things, if you dont like mods that make the game easy.....dont download them, second thing! you can alter you world settings to such a degree that you could rush through, so mods are definitely not needed to make the game easier..... just download the save editor, change your character, load the save, exit, delete the mod and never visit nexus mods again, easy peasy

Honestly with all the weird asset flips. A wardrobe to open up the character change menu, or at least a item to change appearance or open the menu would be nice.

Have a lovander drop it or have it as a craft, maybe early in like lvl 1-10 or something.

No one knows when that'll happen but it is their plans to add a character customization options for those who have already started a game. There is a mod that allows you to do it but it's not safe. It's a gamble. I tried and it bricked my save. I could still load in and play but things were behaving all out of wack. Thankfully however i had made a full backup before trying the mod so i just rolled back.

Anyway, there's no much to do but wait until the devs introduce the feature they said they would, or, if you're feeling lucky, you can always try the mod. Just don't do so without having a save backup.

there's no need for the save editor. There's a mod that actually lets you revisit the character customization process within the game. Unless said save editor actually has a better preview window than the game.

I hope when they do this update, they make it gendered and not what it is now. with the weird body mixing and such. Male or female.. goes to their own parts. ect like it should be. but, the female stuff looks super good, they can look really cool ingame the males look stupid lol.
