best passives for mining iron ore

so apparently work speed doesnt work, best passives are speed, hunger and sanity drain (swift, workaholic, diet lover) unless i missed something in the updates.
though does mining level affect mining speed? like is astegon faster then digtoise?

edit: timed it and digtoise is superior at afk iron ore farming
digtoise in the team is even faster and 4 stars + several passive skills took around 3 seconds to mine an iron node with the settings having gatherable objects health maxed out

You do want Artisan if you are looking for them to mine the Stone Pit. Work Speed works on that. That said, yes, the other perks are usually Swift, Workaholic, Diet Lover, for them to work longer.

yeah thats why i specified mining iron ore lol. astegon probably mines at the stone pit faster then digtoise but i dont know if this applies to iron ore too

Throw one Digtoise into a Iron Ore. It will mine it fully.
Throw any other Pal you want to compare. It will mine it fully.

Mark the time for both.
Get your result.

i was hoping i could be lazy and someone that knows their stuff would comment lol

base digtoise takes 32 seconds to mine an iron node, 19 seconds with partner skill

astegon took 1 minute 50 seconds to mine an iron node

digtoise at 4 stars took 11 seconds

base digtoise with artisan, conceited and soul invested into workspeed took 27 seconds

base digtoise with ferocious, brave, sadist, aggressive and souls invested into attack took 10 seconds

these were the times taken when digtoise was in the team.

base digtoise from palbox takes 1 minute 25 seconds for an iron node (monitoring stand set to normal)
monitoring stand set to super hard working took that same base pal 39 seconds

base digtoise with attack passives and monitoring stand set to normal took 43 seconds

base digtoise with the workspeed passives and monitoring stand set to normal took 34 seconds

same astegon with monitoring stand set to normal took 1 minute 50 seconds

digtoise mining from the palbox gets nerfed but still faster then astegon, digtoise summoned from the team is way faster.

took several tries with gatherable objects health set to max and the times have been fairly consistent so there isnt any variation between the iron nodes themselves

TL;DR
4 stars makes it faster by a ton, work speed and attack also make it faster but have varying results. team digtoise attack bonuses is faster but from the palbox the workspeed digtoise is faster

Edit: looking at the 40 seconds for the two other base digtoise i question if i made a mistake on the 1 minute 25 second one lol

Another issue we had with Digtoise is that they tend to get stuck on top of iron nodes and can't reach the food box.
Hence why we switched back to Anubis, Blazamut and Astegon.

There's a comparison video on yt about mining ore speed. Digtoise is the best but too buggy, they WON'T mine if outsight player. So better pick Reptyro, Astegon, Anubis,... any pals but Digtoise.

But if you want to mine by yourself and save time? Get 116 Digtoises and condense to 4*, he would quickly mine for you.
