Heat armor not working in desert
I just recently came back with the last update, have the refined heat armor, and yet when at the desert I die from the heat. Even made a new armor, and nothing. The desert environment is unplayable for me and my base is right there!

The armors don't give the highest heat or cold resistance; you need special shirts (which are accessories) that increase the resistance further, to the max when combined with the respective armor.

On the other hand, I don't remember deserts or volcanic areas getting hot enough to require heat resistant armor AND shirt; I only experienced the opposite for snowy areas during night time. Is that part of a new update?

Fire pets and their surrounding heat can push things over the edge in some places. Check if you still suffer there without their effect.

You can buy "Thermal Undershirt" from the Wandering Merchant. For both hot and cold.

Fire pals... and also some crafting stations that use fire. If you ride a Vanwyrm past a campfire in the desert at daytime, you'll set yourself on fire.

And conversely, if you bring a Chillet (or some other ice type) as your active pal it'll cool you down one notch, this lets you get around with less heat resistance.

This is often overlooked, but 2 hats also provide heat resist. The Farmer hat and the Explorer hat.

Makes sense to me, aint such thing as farming without a hat against the heat of the sun.
