What equipment? What pal? How long?

To make cake?
Well, Chikipis for eggs, The mozz for milk, need a wheat farm and berry farm, and honey from a beegarde. Will need a ranch for the chikipis, beegarde, and mozz.

Wheat farm (and the tech to make flour), honey, milk, eggs,berries.

You want a pal who can produce all of these, well most. Cow and chicken for milk and egg, Beegaurd for the honey. Pals to tend to and harvest the wheat to make flour.

Also, time... A lot of time, it is slow to make, you need a fire pal that had high kindling.

would help if you actually ask a questing instead of 3 2 word sentences. are you asking how to make cake? if so you could of just looked it up on the wiki. if so:

theres no "equipment" to make cake. there is ingredients though. you might of got the 2 words mixed up. the ingredients are listed when you try and cool it (or make anything). if you dont see the cake listed then your using a cooking fire and that cant make cake. the cooking pot or electric kitchen are needed to make it

if using a cooking pot you need a kindling (fire) pal, if using a electric kitchen you need an electric pal. higher efficiency pals cook faster

as said above, it matters what pal and cooling building your using. if its just a cooking pot and a lev 1/2 pal it will take some time to cook. if so just do other stuff while you wait, be it around he base or out in the world


also note breeding isnt really needed. all the pals can be found in the wild and the breeding pen needs a massive flat space to work. i remember building mine on a slight slope and loosing the egg caz it spawn underground

not only is breeding easier than catching, it also makes it easier to get traits.

true that. but thats really only late game stuff. 9 times out of 10 you can just do stuff with caught pals and by how op "asked" there question, i take it there in the very early stages of the game

well, breeding isn't really late game, but you have a point that if you're asking such a question, you wouldn't be doing any serious breeding anyway.

yer, and that the breeding pen takes up so much room with it needing a massive flat place its not always worth it in your first base or your item collecting bace (like the ore base alot of people make)

normally best to put it in the 2nd base and make that a purly breeding base

If you are being minimalist, you only need the following.

-Ranch
-Beegarde (For Honey)
-Mill
-Breeding pen
-Cook pot.

Milk, Eggs, Red berries and wheat can all be purchased from the most basic level of merchant, so if you are able to get a lot of money this will massively reduce the amount of space you need on your base.

If you are not minimalist, you will also need...

-Chikipi
-Mozzarina
-Berry Farm (2)
-Wheat farm (1)

I was having problems with a lot of production being on the ground. My first berry farm had a slight angle and pals got stuck under an edge and dropped stuff in there

My new concept for a base is to cover the entire area with connected foundations. Move the mouse up to raise the foundation high off the ground. Can also use one stair to control raid access to base.

The foundations fixed so many of my base patching problems. You probably know this already but just sharing anyways

or you know, only set yoru base on flat ground

i have my main one in the main ore farming spot. its a very flat zone so its really easy to build around the ore in the middle

I def say... build a farm base just with farming in mind, with like two breeding, one stable for a chicken and cow/bee build a ton of cooking pots and go to town. pop some good farmers and transporters, with azurobe and like a good water to assist her/him. might want to breed all the pals there to make it faster, slap in like two wixens because she is just cool.
