Is there a heat bug?

Flying on the island nearest to the volcano a starter area I am suddenly dying of heat exposure in temperate areas. Cant even get near the volcano island with heat blocking armor.

-100 -712 I have to wear hear blocking armor there to survive that way point. Volcano I die no matter the armor and I have not found the heat undershirts.

probably need lvl2 heat armour and shirt honestly.

I am using the Refined metal armor. Had to swap to Pelt heat resist to survive the cords I gave that is supposed to be temperate forest. The volcano is not survivable at all with even pelt now.

seems intentional, one of the patches updated heat as a system

though i havent bothered to check the island yet lol

After the 1.5.0 patch fire Pal give off heat and heat sources work together to produce more heat. I don't know if its based on Kindling or what, but the last time I flew over Mt Oblivion I was on a flying fire mount with level 2 heat resistant armor and had to go back to base for a heat resistant shirt to go with it. I have a level 3 heat resistant shirt so I don't know if a level 1 heat resistant shirt would have been enough. Make Kitsune even more useful as a mount.

Make sure your pal is not raising the temperature even higher. Pals can raise or lower the temperature. Some pals have a cooing aura that you can use to counteract the heat, like Chillet.

Yeah I fully upgraded Ragnahawk as a mount. Its cooking me while flying.... Thanks for the help

Before you could wear regular armour, and wear 2 shirts to negate temperature effects, now with the latest change, in order to go to the coldest or hottest areas, you have to wear the Heat/Cold Resistant armour as well as the shirts.
