Hoocrate's Dark Knowledge; Dark PALS, Dark ATTACKS, Dark Pals USING Dark attacks, or what?

In game, Dark Knowledge specifically says "While in team, boosts attack power of Dark Pals." However, online the consensus seems to be Dark attacks instead. Game8 - first result when looking up game guides for Palworld - states, instead, that "while Hoocrates is in your party, your party's Dark attacks are increased. The bonus damage is increased per level of Dark Knowledge." This also begs the question of if non-Dark types can benefit from Hoocrates as well vs ONLY Dark types using Dark attacks. (Not that I'd want to forsake STAB damage for the attack, but still good information to have in your back pocket) Of course this would apply to all of the elemental/STAB boosting abilities, like Kelpsea, Kelpsea Ignis, etc.

Has anyone tested this already to verify which is true? I know sometimes games lie about mechanics, but there aren't a lot of threads talking about the topic online and I'm not sure of the quality of the only guide I could find. (And sometimes people can just straight up forget how a game mechanic actually works/what a thing actually is and assume collectively it works one way and not the other, ala Berenstein Bears lol) If not, I can test myself and post my findings, but I'd figured I'd ask first. Well as far as Kelpsea goes, you can see the attack stat of your dmg dealer go up when you add them to the party. I can't speak for Hoocrate but I would assume that if you see the attack stat of your main pal go up when you add him, that it goes for all attacks.

I haven't tested anything of course so I can't say anything conclusive but this might be some food for though for those trying to figure it out.

hoocrates buffs overall damage (more like attack go up)
vanwyrm is a dark/fire pal with nightmare ball and fire ball as attacks

if you add hoocrate it buffs both attacks, not just the dark attack one

In addition, it does not increase the damage of dark attacks on non-dark type pals.
