point of the multiple slot food bags?
so.. they have these food timers. when yout put a stack of something in the first slot. thats what you and your pals eat.. so any other food stacks afteer that. are just going to deplete. so whats the point of these if the food is just being wasted? but then im not a fan of these short food timers anyway.

Having 3-4 slots is good if your using the better food recipes and only have a handful of each. Put something you have 2 of in the first slot, 5 of in the second, 10 in the 3rd, and 250 cooked berries in the 4th. Get to use the better food automatically.

If you use your pets a lot they will eat most of the stuff before the times kills it.

If you just use the cooked berries/jelly bread stuff with stacks of 300 at a time. No need to ever get anything about first feed bag.

yea. im thinking the extra slot bags are worthless. i typically have a huge stack of bread on me making all the other things not in the least useful. all my pals eat cooked berries. but then i was just now as we speak eyeballing the food not spoiling mod to be rid of this. why spend all the time cooking all these meats when you never get to use them anyway. or.. as mentioned. why have a bag with more than one slot. im not sure they thought this through.

As someone who has all the food bag slots unlocked, yes. in reality they're worthless. You're only going to bring ONE type of food with you and stack as much as you can afford to carry with you. This needs to be addressed. because otherwise, this won't change. Most items weigh too much to make worth carrying any reasonable quantities of. Food is a perfect example of this. Example.

carrying 100 Pizza slices costs me 50 pounds of carry weight. I know 100 sounds like a lot but keep in mind those food bags feed you AND your pals. thats nothing. 50 pounds is exactly ONE stat point of leveling up in the carry weight stat which is VERY important.

Items need re-weighted in a balance patch IMO

Two slot is still useful. You can put a non timer foods as a reminder. when you enjoy the game until you forget to restock. When you in mid of dungeon and there's no pal with food resource to hunt. It's happen to me.

I just use stat-buffing food like omelets in the first slot, never bothered getting extra bags. Easy enough to make them and gives both you and your Pals a constant attack buff.

Only one so far. I was doing some exploring and my inventory was full.

Stuffed a bunch of food items in the bag to save me more space.

I have never really used bags past the first well. Whenever I put something in there it just rots away until I force feed it to just stop losing them.

I like the idea of having some honey or cotton candy as a backup, but I'd be more likely to miss the carrying weight than run out of the first food.

i don't even use the first slot, i'd rather see how much food i have left every time i eat instead of randomly running out because i wasn't paying attention

The feed boxes are the same. In fact worse because you need to waste food to block pals from filling them with everything else.

Tip, you can easily circumvent this by putting honey in the empty slots (doesn't expire, is a food).

Unrelated: ALL the weights need readjusting in this game. Why is a Pickaxe 10 (later 15) weight? Same goes for all the tools. Honestly the rocket launcher being 30 weight is the most reasonable of all the item's weights. Don't even want to start on how much food weighs in this game, lol.

Doesn't matter if all four extra slots are honey or not, The moment that first slot becomes empty, It gets filled with wheat.

Well, wheat is food.

Back on topic, as already pointed out once or twice here. I just shove meat or such from captured pals to avoid my inventory from getting full. I just treat these as extra inventory slots.
