If you use your pets a lot they will eat most of the stuff before the times kills it.
If you just use the cooked berries/jelly bread stuff with stacks of 300 at a time. No need to ever get anything about first feed bag.
carrying 100 Pizza slices costs me 50 pounds of carry weight. I know 100 sounds like a lot but keep in mind those food bags feed you AND your pals. thats nothing. 50 pounds is exactly ONE stat point of leveling up in the carry weight stat which is VERY important.
Items need re-weighted in a balance patch IMO
Stuffed a bunch of food items in the bag to save me more space.
I like the idea of having some honey or cotton candy as a backup, but I'd be more likely to miss the carrying weight than run out of the first food.
Tip, you can easily circumvent this by putting honey in the empty slots (doesn't expire, is a food).
Unrelated: ALL the weights need readjusting in this game. Why is a Pickaxe 10 (later 15) weight? Same goes for all the tools. Honestly the rocket launcher being 30 weight is the most reasonable of all the item's weights. Don't even want to start on how much food weighs in this game, lol.
Doesn't matter if all four extra slots are honey or not, The moment that first slot becomes empty, It gets filled with wheat.
Well, wheat is food.
Back on topic, as already pointed out once or twice here. I just shove meat or such from captured pals to avoid my inventory from getting full. I just treat these as extra inventory slots.
