I'm a hardcore Pokemon fan but I still enjoy Palworld.
The other weird part is that Palworld is hardly even Pokemon.
Why arent ARK fans complaining? Survival mechanics? Hunger? Actually, Project Zomboid had this before ARK...
Why arent Fortnite fans complaining? Building structures while pointing guns?? Thats a copy/paste!
Why arent Elden Ring fans complaining? The broken down churches and the dodge system. SUE THEM!!
Why arent Factorio fans complaining? I mean... automation of assembly lines?? HELLOOO?
Why arent Zelda fans complaining? The glider and the climbing is such a ripoff!
Why arent Runescape fans complaining? The player has an inventory... and crafts gear. OH NO!!
Wait... you need to keep ammo and weapons in your inventory, and you can only have equipped a select few weapons at a time, and as you progress, you get better weapons. Hmm, first game I played like that was Resident Evil in 1996 ...
Capcom should sue them!!
BFFR!
They could just re-release Red & Blue over and over again and I would be content with that but with new Pokemon.
I was more or less a fan of Pokemon ever since I first played Emerald as a kid, but yeah I could definitely see the writing on the wall as I got older; I stopped playing after the disappointment that was Sun/Moon, and have been laughing at the absurdly lazy design of the games that came after ever since.
A part of me does wish they would learn a few lessons, even tho I stopped buying Nintendo consoles ages ago.
Dragon Quest: 1986
Pokemon RBYG 1996

Pokemon "stole" from dragon quest in the same vein that palworld did.
And Dark Mutant that supposedly didn't release with early access? It's not fully implemented yet - it's not because it looks like mewtwo, ♥♥♥♥ it pulls more design elements from digimon's snatchmon than anything.
In the age of manufactured outrage no one can have anything nice, there can only ever be one examples of any type of game. All the new roguelites? Well they obviously copied off of vampire survivors. Palworld? Well pocketpair literally used AI to clone 3d pokemon models - does it matter that that's impossible? Nope. "Pocketpair simply had to have nefarious intentions, they cheated somehow" - Naughty Dog's senior artist https://twitter.com/PeterOvo5/status/1749442688422715854
Fun fact is PocketPair has its own artists who designed their Pals, so people who said they used AI are all wrong.
To them , getting clown reward is the best thing ever happen to them , it free point after all and they canget nicer stuffs on steam point shop and they dedicate all theirs craft to bait people into giving them free point.
Nintendo prob couldn’t care less, too much money to count from weird dudes who are little too into cartoon princesses and most Nintendo fans prob barely know about palworld other than the mod’s removal, most likely dismiss it without second thought as just another Temtem.
I can assure you most of the real Pokemon fans absolutely love Palworld, if not they would at least appreciate Palworld for doing what Nintendo and Gamefreak can't, and wouldn't do. Which is to take risks and give what the fanbase the game they always wished for.
Look at Pokemon: Arceus, to me one of the almost, very close to one of the perfect Pokemon games to ever be created. It has so so much potential just to be flopped, wasted away by their Cooperate Greed and trying to "Play it safe" decision. They could've made a "Zelda BOTW and TOTK but it's Pokemon" if they wanted to. Heck, even Pokemon: Arceus lack voice acting compared to the newer Zelda games.
In conclusion, those who blindly defend and worship Nintendo and Pokemon are so blind to realized they're just ants, beneath "Pals Slavery" kind of slaves to these Mega Corporate. Blinded by arrogance, ignorance and nostalgia to be cash milked and bamboozled by low effort games with the "Pokemon" trademark.
Let these manchild be like that. Let them cry a river. Let them waste their money and be in debt for their die hard stupidity. We who can judge with an open mind just go and enjoy Palworld as much as we can and move on.
Oh I guess because Palworld is actually successfull.
It would make no sense for Nintendo to sue here, they would just make fools of themselves, since Palworld is in the making for years now and also since the gameplay is very different from Pokemon.
If they want to argue about the Pal Designs being copies of Pokemon, that would be hilarious too because Nintendo blatantly copied Dragonquest and other games in 1996 xD
Also, I am pretty sure Nintendo has no monopoly on such games.
But how many Pokemon are there now? Over 1000 or something?
So even if you make a monster game and even if you actually "invent" Monsters by your own, there is no way that they will not have similarities to Pokemons, it is simply impossible.
