Breeding
Hello, This is mostly hoping the devs see this.

Breeding in this game feels slow and Arduous. I know you won't delete the time it takes for eggs to appear but could we lower the timer or add a slider?

Passing down passive skills not even getting into the iv's are a gamble even if you have the passives you need. Could we add items pals can hold like the Everstone and Destiny Knot from Pokemon.

cheers

I am mostly satisfied with breeding currently, what is your set up?
2 breeding farms in one base, cake covered for both, right biome for +50%-100% speed for most eggs= 5 min. to 1h per egg. Have about 20 incubators or more and it feels like you can practically stay in base, going out for a couple of boss kills and come back.

Would that be too slow for you?

Passives for new born Pals also seem "mostly" working alright. I got 3 cases so far, where assigned Pals did show passive A and B, but eggs got passive XYZ 8 times over and over again without A and B.
Those rare cases bring up speculation about Pals registering wrong passives when breeding (rarely). For the most part, it works though. Takes half a day or a day to get all 4 passives on one egg with parents either having 2 and 2 or both having 3/4 and 3/4.

Example: you want "Swift", "Runner", "Nimble" and "Ferocious" on the egg, parents got 2 out of 4, both together have 4/4. After around 10-30 eggs, i got a perfect 4/4. Sometimes the two last eggs have both 4/4 and are male and female (super weird luck), happened 2 times now.

Hope this helps.

if you are playing solo you can use mods, I used one that lowered the timer to 1 minute, 30 seconds or instant and it also let you use berries instead of cakes for breeding.
the name of the mod is faster breeding in nexusmods

Hey, I've got three farms up with no incubation time as i'm not waiting hours for my Anubis or jurn to hatch. Didn't know about the biome decrease but i'd say it's about 5 mins around about. What's slow is there isn't a lot of "good" monster training games out there so i'm going of pokemon where i spend easily thousands of hours hatching. But with pokemon you can have a talonflame with flame body to cut the steps in half and you don't need to waste time giving them food to make children i'll most likely release. Also i know it's early access just hoping when they release migration you can have a comp ready team to battle. NOT SAYING POKEMON IS PERFECT.. but it has something that i see works

There some ways to reduce the breeding time in the options belonging if you play singleplayer or multiplayer. Also for servers there is a option for the owner of the server to reduce the breeding time. For the single player u need only go to the world options and set the breeding time for the dragon egg down. Normally the count is on 72 what means based on the rarest egg breeding time is affectet the breeding time of all other eggs. 72 means 72 hours time for an big dragon egg. If you change the number e.g. to 32 it would half the breeding time of all eggs. You can go so far to change the number to 2 what means that a normal egg needs only 5 mins to get breeded. Hope this can help you

On our server the option is called PalEggDefaultHatchingTime

Is that in world settings? I'm on solo

Breeding is the only thing working in my 2nd and 3rd base. Pals don't mine or do work as soon as I leave but thankfully they still get to a bit of 'woo hoo' when I'm gone. I just bring the eggs back to my main base to incubate them.

There is a solo/local setting as well. The time refers to the total number of hours to hatch a 'huge' egg. 72 is the default on a dedicated server but I tuned mine down to 3 or 4 for local play.

The setting you are looking for in SP is called:
Time (h) to incubate Massive Egg. Note: Other eggs also require time to incubate.

Change it to 0 and it will be an instant incubation.

I've left my breeding farm and come back to some of my pals who are either stuck or have completely gone missing. I think it's a pathing issue or when the player isn't around something else happens. Also happens with my mining farm, they leave everything on the floor until i show up.
