Pals wont work when no players actively around
Also there is no last position spawn point
For keeping food from expiring can leave it in the cooking station and will not lose time on it.
For cakes the timer will not go down if in the box at the breeding pen.
The fridge is the place you put food to reduce its expiry time for 50% of your play session while you're online. Your window into the aforementioned stasis for non-cake is your inventory while you're offline, as that which does not exist on the server cannot expire.
To my knowledge, there are no dedicated nocturnal cooling pals at present, so the fridge is at best a glorified cooler box that gets left open when everything goes to sleep.
It's not the best but it's something.
It's not solely cooling though, is it? If there's even one other thing in their skillset, I find they just... don't cool anything.
Fair enough. Does that persist through logouts/going off and doing stuff elsewhere in the world? I've never really had much success getting pals to stay on a station unless I'm in the base with them rendered.
no, this seems to sometimes reset if the pal goes to sleep in the meantime. i witnessed this with my beegarde that was designated to the farm, if they go to sleep sometimes they start doing other ♥♥♥♥ after waking up
