Dismantling a Palbox
If I dismantle a palbox to dismantle my base to replace said palbox (one of my bases the palbox is set too close to a rock so all my pals respawn on top of it and i need to lift them all up and throw them off multiple times during play) if I place a palbox so that the range encircles the exisiting buildings it doesn't get rid of, do they become part of the new base or do I need to get rid of them all and start over?

Not sure if it even lets you place another that close, don't have any spare to test as they limit to 3 bases only.

The game makes save backups regularly (a few 30 seconds apart, then 5 mins, 10 mins etc.) so you can always test it and roll back if your stuff falls apart.

you can replace it np, some stations will deconstruct and drop their resources, the ones you need to level the base, but the other buildings stations and chests should be fine and will be inclluded in new circle

Personally I would like to have the option to move things that are already placed. Also I would love to have something that increases the base border size, I like to make huuuuge things heh. One big thing I would love to see is a Pillar for the foundations something that can increase the height of where you can place a foundation.

Yeah, I would like to move things or at least give you a 5 minute timer to re-construct the palbox before everything implodes. Even 5 minutes would be plenty of time to move it and fix it.

Generally, as I played the game more and more, I got better at making bases the AI was good at navigating. But it does suck to have elements stick out as legacy design decisions that I would have changed if the game made it easier to do so.

+1 to all of this

I wish there was just an option to move but not dismantle it entirely. Like I need to move it 5 feet to the right shouldnt mean I have to disassemble everything important to my pals to do it

So the good news is everyone, that I tried it at a small base. The only things that dismantled were like...gardens and ranches and hot springs. My whole base house, furnaces, cooking pots, storage containers, and logging/mining things all stayed. So it was completely easy to redo everything I needed really quickly! Basically anything pertaining directly to the pals goes away but like I said, once I replaced my palbox, everything became part of my base again, and I had plenty of material to just rebuild everything I lost right away!

I think the warning does flag that any object that is not natively placeable outside the base disappears. Building pieces and some stations can be placed outside the base, which is why they stay.
