You can run launch options by right clicking on the game, under General tab you'll find it.

Render distance option would be amazing.
EDIT: In particular, there's alot of options missing that are present in older games that would make a HUGE impact on performance. The game renders well beyond playable and relevant range (more than twice pal render distance), for example, and there's some foliage there that takes up alot of power and serves only to pretend the's more going on and to also hide items that fall on the ground, and shadows? Game runs at like 10fps for me, until i get into a dungeon or cave and then it runs 60+.
Since it's still an early access game not all settings will be made available, hope the devs will add more options in the future. For now we just use whatever we have to optimize the game and at least "try" to squeeze as much fps as we can.
And for the render distance option, we do have that, and if set it to Low it does hide grasses, items and even obstacles at a certain range. I hope render distance will also allow us to increase or decrease the range and thickness of the fog.
Would love to see that Silent Hill insane thick fog vibe in this game.
That's LOD, not render distance. It's the render distance for some objects, not the whole map. Even at lowest setting it still renders farther than even Minecraft dares to render.
How much VRAM do you have? And does it run better for you in dungeons?
For mod no. 2 and 3 they are kinda similar (Since they're just tweaked and edited Engine.ini files). Check them out and try to use them, see which one works and provide more performance to your game. For me Mod no. 2 instead of no 3.
Mod no. 5 also related to Engine.ini. Just copy and paste the string of settings inside the Engine.ini (Less Fog) into the main Engine.ini (Windows folder) file.
To access your Engine.ini file:
1. go to the search bar and type "Run".
2. Open "Run" and type "AppData".
navigate to: 'AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\Config\Windows'.
3. Find and open Engine.ini using Notepad or Notepad++.
4. One you done editing it you can right click and select properties and set it to "Read Only" to avoid any changes done to the .ini file.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going down the list and trying these atm and I can at least vouch for the first mod, View Distance Graphics and Dedicated Server Tweaks by Scrabbulor.
I'm looking at PalOptimizator by Madmer right now and it looks like this mod is for the game client and not the server hosting software. Did you install the mod on your server install or your game client? Thanks again!
