Base Build Tip
Small pals require enough space to turn around or walk around objects or buildings built next to the base circle border line. Unclear how much space bigger pals need. Still experimenting with new base layouts to make path finding less buggy. So at the very least for small pals just don't build next to the base circle border line to keep their path finding from breaking on the bases edge.

Never build your base to the edge of the radius since pals wanders out there when idling or resting. If they end up walking outside to the radius and squeezed in between a wall and the radius line, their pathfinding will be broken and they get stuck.

This can be countered simply by increasing the amount of space for pals to take breaks, idle, and rest while having your base house outside the border circle, on the opposite side of where you have your pals working and sleeping, with the base deterioration despawning slider set to zero and turned off.

Edit: By building multiple stories with stairs for pals to traverse. Currently working on an rather promising "fresh start" hillside base setup that increases base size with minimal build requirements and no broken path finding.

On another note if you build on a hillside, and there's a path outside of your base circle to get to the lower level, your palls will run out of your base to go work or eat or whatever down or up on the other level of your base. Experienced this last night testing starting location bases on the hillside.
They changed the way Pals work with jobs. They can literally work on stuff they aren't even near now.

That must be a bug because I don't have any pals working on anything without first path finding over from where they were.

I also have pals that will work on and interact with objects outside of their immediate hitbox, even if its between walls.
