Pokemon Side Games like Pokemon Legends Arceus = Palworld > Mainline Pokemon Games
I'd been playing games like pokemon for well over 20 years, the reason I love Palworld or Pokemon side games so much isn't because it's pokemon themed but because it does something different.

I will agree with that. I feel Palworld reminded me a lot of 'Legends Arceus' except taking the mechanics further, more crafting, more things for the 'trainer' to do, and removing the turn based combat completely and replacing it with the real time one. I loved that aspect of Arceus, the 'careful, they are actual dangerous creatures' and using items to sneak, catch them, and the clunky boss battles using those scented bags.

Go play your re-hashed garbage and give Game Freak your money so they'll believe they're making good decisions while they can't even be asked to keep the whole 'Dex in the game and refuse to spend the time making functional 3D models and rigs (looking at you, Scarlet/Violet...).

Plus, every Pokemon game from Gen 1 to 7, plus Pokemon Colosseum and its sequel, could fit on a single Switch game cart, but they won't even port them to modern devices in any way.

I feel like Pokemon feels more natural because it's had 30 years to become apart of the public culture, but ultimately as a game it feels very disjointed and dated in the worst ways.

This game has a lot of lack of content at all levels, story, characters,etc , but it brings new action and mechanics. We'll see if in some time they can go deeper
